This placemat is great! I had a similar one years ago for my firstborn, but 11 years later it’s nowhere to be found. Most placemats that I’ve come across are simply that - a placemat. This one, however, has a catch tray, which was a huge help the last go around. I do wish this mat had little suction cups to help adhere it to the table, but at the same time many tables have a surface that doesn’t work well with suction cups. The material of this mat isn’t “sticky,” but it still sticks to the table pretty well (but baby could probably still grab and toss it, so be careful!). I especially appreciate how when the mat is unfurled it lies flat (the last one I had always had curled edges), and this one easily rolls back up into the catch tray where the roll can be folded and binded with a separate tie that comes with the placemat, making it great for storage and travel.
