I bought this playard for our 7 month old who is starting to crawl and get into everything! I wanted something spacious for him to move around in but still small enough for our small house. These play yard is perfect for that. I love that it is easy to assemble and disassemble in case we want to take it on the go or to the grandparents house. It is even large enough for me to sit in with him when at first trying to get him used to being inside of it. Only downside would be the crossbars and how easy it is for babies to bump their heads on them thru the mesh. I liked the idea of using pool noodles as suggested by another reviewer. However, with it being winter, pool noodles are hard to find right now. Instead, my husband and I went to the hardware store and got pipe insulation foam which comes in perfect diameter for the 1/2 in crossbars and is already pre slit and smaller around than a pool noodle. Also, this foam is dark grey so it blends with color of crossbars rather than bright colors that pool noodles come in. So for $6 we were able to make safer for baby's head. Sure they have to be removed when folding up, but small price to pay for safety. However, since we used pipe insulation foam, the foam pierces can all easily fit in a reusable shopping bag which makes it easier to transport our safety hack to take on the go. Overall, so far we are happy with this playard for our needs.
