I'm 5 feet tall, so like most pants I bought these thinking I would have to hem them several inches to fit me correctly. I bought a pink pair (size small) and tried them on as soon as they arrived and sure enough they were about 3 inches too long. They were pretty comfortable otherwise and actually covered my entire butt with no waistband gap. So into the wash they went before the hemming just in case they happen to shrink a bit. I'm so glad I washed them first! They shrunk an entire 3.5 inches and now they fit me just perfect without having to hem them at all! I liked them so much I bought 2 more in different colors. I have included a picture of the before washing (green) and after washing (pink) to show how much they shrink.
