I wanted this radio for my kitchen to listen to NPR. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this radio, the sound quality is great, the reception is better than I expected, the dial is large, it's simple and easy to use. It's similar to the one my dad had in his workshop ages ago. It has no bells and whistles, it's a nice size and gets the job done. I will be purchasing another for my mom who likes to listen to gospel stations. There is only one thing I would change on this radio. That would be the location of the AC input. It's located on the side which poses a little issue with stowing the cord. But this is not a deal breaker for me.
