After 3 years my Germ Guardian didn't seem to be working even with new filters installed. After noticing the bad reviews as to customer service with Guardian: people contacting company because had burning plastic smell and company said was "normal" and it would go away; telling a recent purchaser it would cost them $50 in shipping to send to company for repair...I looked for something new and found Levoit. Yes the fresh smell and all you see in reviews is true! First night I woke up and noticed my lungs were more wide open I could breathe better. Have had them for a couple of months they are great. One of the three had an odd sound, so called customer service. They said if I had any problems in first year they just ship you a new one. They shipped out a new one next day and sent me a ups prepaid postage to return it. Great company!
