The Best Wireless All-In-One Printer
I know it may look like just a simple wireless all-in-one printing device, but there’s something really special about the Epson WF 2760. It works – every feature and every function works exactly as described. It’s as if Epson really wanted to make things right for some of their marketing decisions in the past (mostly when it came to ink cartridges), and they succeeded.
This all-in-one can be set up in a matter of moments by unpacking it, removing the blue tape, powering it on, installing the FULL SIZED ink cartridges and connecting it to your Wi-Fi network via the touchscreen menu on the printer itself. From there you can go to any Windows device, choose Add Printer in the start menu, then select this one (as long as you're connected to the same network) and start using it immediately. I didn’t have to install any proprietary software in Windows 10 to get it to work. I signed up for an Epson Connect account to register the device, opted out of the newsletter, and set up all of my cloud print services from there. More on that below.
By the way: You don’t need to even sign up for any cloud services if you’re not going to use them. To set up your printer with more features on your PC, just type its IP address into your browser and edit them from there. (You can find the IP Address in the printer settings menu on the Touch Panel.)
Here is a list of some of the features and why I think this is the best inkjet printer on the market:
1. Ink cartridges are high quality, reasonably priced and they last. It comes with 4 full capacity cartridges that I’ve printed dozens of pages with in full color, and my ink levels are still reasonably high. No more printing 10 pages and having to buy new carts immediately. A set of standard capacity Epson replacements are about 40 bucks, but the best part is you only need to buy the color you need. They stopped with the “you're out of black so you'll need to replace magenta as well” stuff. Also, when copying or printing in black, you only need to have enough black ink – the printer doesn’t lock down when you run out of cyan but still need to print black and white.
2. Print quality – Described as laser quality – I have to say they nailed it. I haven’t done any photo printing (there are other models that specialize in that) but standard and color docs look super sharp and vibrant.
3. Cloud print services – This is HUGE! Without installing any software on my Windows 10 PC I signed into the printer by typing it’s IP address in my browser, signed into my Google account, signed into my new Epson Connect account, and even set up an email address *****@print.epsonconnect.com to send docs or forward emails to for printing.
4. Cloud scanning – another awesome feature that works. You can set scans to automatically upload to a specified folder in Dropbox/Onedrive/Evernote/etc. You can also set up email addresses for the scans to be sent to. You can have multiple options in case you want one sent to your work account, or another sent to Dropbox as a backup. I have one set up just for receipts and it captures everything and uploads it to my deductions folder in Dropbox.
5. Printing from mobile – either by the Epson iPrint app (which you can also trigger prints via NFC, or by Google Cloud, Airprint, etc.) you can print full-sized docs from your mobile device. I set this up in minutes via the Epson app – really nice interface for Android, and really effective.
6. Auto 2-side printing – for super efficient paper conservation
7. Large paper tray – holds 150 pages
8. Wi-Fi direct – cool if you don’t have a wireless network or want a more secure way of printing. (This is helpful if you have roommates that like to prank you by printing multiple copies of the Star Wars script…. Bryan.) You can also connect via USB and go off network, or even print via NFC while in Wi-Fi Direct mode.
9. Auto Document Feeder – This is cool. Need to scan/copy a stack of papers? No problem. Set them up in the ADF tray and it immediately recognizes there is a stack there. Good for scanning contracts, other docs, etc.
I didn’t have a use for the fax function because I do that via an email service, but if you have a hard phone line it will handle that too.
I really love this thing. 5 stars. Awesome device.
