This large trailer is small for my German shepherd, Spunk, who has degenerative myelopathy (DM), but it makes no difference to him that he cannot lay down in it because he prefers to sit for his rides. In healthier days, we would run miles together (me in my mobility cart and he on good legs). In what will probably be his last months, I want him to have the enjoyment of making the rounds like we used to, so I purchased this trailer. So far, we have only taken 3 rides and I feel that I've already got my money's worth from these fabulous wheels. When Spunk sits tall in the trailer and we haul *ss at 12mph, this boy feels like king of the world! It's easy to see. He was bored with not getting around much because of his dragging hind legs (he swims daily, though) but this trailer has renewed his joy of living -- playfully woofing at everyone, every dog, and especially every cat within sight. The trailer is well made, zippers, canvas, netting, and all. I did remove the cushion at the bottom and replaced it with a gel mat, as Spunk's crazy hind legs would only scramble the pillow.
