I ordered this to replace a plastic one I'd been using for a while which snapped when I put my weight (not a lot!) on it to pull my chair forward. Granted my floor is softer and my chair sinks into the vinyl mat, so I have to use some force... But to not have to deal with more breaking foot rests, I opted for this foam one as I've been happily using their seat cushions for the last year. I got it and was a bit disappointed at how low-profile it is - it's probably designed for people of average height whereas I'm barely 5 feet tall and have my chair all the way up. Nevertheless, I figured I'd not just a rest by its appearance alone, and try it out. I'm a little weird about putting my shoes on a cloth pillow, so I've been using it barefoot. I tend to like it "upside down" with the white base showing, and the thinner part toward me. But it's a bit too low for me, such that I have to sit exactly in one position for it to be comfortable, and not move - not realistic! I find myself playing with it under my desk frequently, which is kind of fun... I tend to scoot it onto my chair legs to give it more height, or flip it vertically to rest against my desk frame for a more ergonomic position for my height, though this is not very stable. Overall, great concept and probably not a bad product, but if you're under 5' 2" it probably won't be tall enough for you to really get the full benefit, unless you have an adjustable desk that is also set to short-person height...(Mine is not! Maybe I need to saw the legs down!)
