I purchased this cushion to give me some height in the driver's seat of my car with great results. In reading reviews about it being too firm, I disagree. It is not a soft cushion, which is why I gained about 3” or so for visibility in my car -- a problem for me as a short person in a newer car with ‘high waists’ of the side doors resulting in the side mirror being right in my line of sight and providing a significant blind spot It is firm, but comfortable, even after a 2 hour drive. Also the sun visors are more effective Softer cushions didn't give the height. Also the tapered narrower front is a nice comfort + function plus in that it doesn't press against the back of my legs when driving. Very happy with purchase
