I bought this based on 8000 good reviews and have never been so unimpressed with an item in my life. All I need to do is charge my android phone (One plus 2) in my car and keep up with the consumption Google maps consumes while locating addresses while I work. I was replacing a cheap charger that could give only about 8 percent in an hour. Well this one could barely give 3-4 percent in an hour. When I looked back at the posting I clicked on reviews that only gave 1 star and found a lot of those had just recently been given (October 2017). Perhaps a bad batch? A new factory? Don't know, but hopefully Amazon will return it for me because when I went to return it through my orders, it said it was not eligible for returns. UPDATE: Anker reached out to me which is always pleasing when a manufacture is willing to make things right. I was sent a new, but different charger as a replacement for the one I was disappointed in. The two have different SKU numbers and are different items . The original I was sent looks like the picture advertised here on Amazon.The second has a square head where the ports are located. The second one works as expected meaning it can and does charge my phone while using it, with multiple apps open. I usually have google maps open while driving and often listen to audible books simultaneously. This new charger SKU# X001BA69TZ, Model A2212 has allowed my phone to continue to charge while apps are in use, so when my destination has been reached, I usually have close to full charge. It is a very fast charge and I highly recommend the replacement charger. Thank you Anker for stepping up and being the company we want you to be! UPDATE 8/31/2020 The charger the company sent out as a replacement SKU# X001BA69TZ, Model A2212 , is still going strong with daily use in my car. This is almost 3 years. I updated to 5 stars as suggested by other viewers. Love this product and ANKAR. Will only buy from this company.
