HOW DO THESE WORK? HOW ARE THE WEIGHTS RETAINED? Check out the video I uploaded and pics. Those were some of the questions I had when I went to buy these. They seem too cheap price wise compared to what else I see on here along with being higher weight. Plus with covid and cost of regular dumbells (and the rubber ones apparently all smell bad), I wanted something simple, up to 50lbs (not 25), and didn't smell up my office. I found these and I searched high and low over the internet and since these are new (04/2021), I couldn't find much detail anywhere. I made a video showing operation and here are some other stats I was looking for as well. QUANTITY: Yes you get a pair of these weights, 2 handles and cradles. It ships in 1 (heavy) box dropped off by a 1 Ton Amazon box truck which I never knew they had! DIMS: The overall dims are 14 3/4" long x 8 1/4" wide for the base. The Weight Bars - the weights are 7 1/4" diameter by 13 5/8" long and in the cradle, the unit is 7 3/8" tall overall. Hand Grip Spacing - there is a bar with flanges then that attaches to the first weight plates. There is 4 3/4" between the ends of the grips and the flanges, then there is another small gap to the first weight plate. Gap between weight plates around hand grips is 5 3/8" (see pic). COMMENTS: I wish the selector tabs were Red to make them more visible and quickly identifiable but thats my only negative. Weight changes are super quick and from what I can tell secure. Even if the adjuster pushes outward somehow, maybe catching clothing or similar, the weight plate is retained. Only if the adjuster is moved inward would a weight fall out and they only come out one way. The base does appear that it should be as level as possible when putting the bar back in the cradle so that the Y grooves catch both sides to be adjusted again. So far, these are awesome. I'll see how the adjusters wear over time since they are partially plastic. That
