For the price, probably impossible to beat.
I've had a Kindle Fire HDX for the last two years and have loved it. . . however, due to the ever-increasing size of my Kindle/Audible/Video library it was no longer able to hold everything on it that I wanted-- at the same time. I'm always itching to try new Amazon products and when I saw their new Kindle Fire tablet go on sale I decided to give it a try. This bundle popped up in my suggestions so I thought I'd give it a try.
The truth is that for the price, you probably can't get a better tablet. It has a pretty good processing speed, the resolution is decent, the memory is expandable (which I love) and it's made with a fairly sturdy construction design. Buying the bundle saves you a little money and since all of the products are from Amazon itself pretty much guarantees that they will work well with each other.
So what don't I like? Even though the resolution is pretty good, it's nothing compared to the Kindle Fire HDX. I know I paid a lot more for the other tablet. . . but it's hard to go back. It also has a long, narrow design so that everything is either super thin or super wide. For reading it's actually kind of nice. . . but for browsing, watching videos or anything else it's a little obnoxious. The camera is pretty atrocious and I can almost promise that I won't be using it ever. There are a few other things that it doesn't do that my old Fire does, but conversely it also a few new features (software updates mostly-- search bar for all programs, ability to easily close programs and windows, etc.) that are super nice. In my opinion the two best things that it has going for it are A.) It's super inexpensive B.) It has expandable storage for books, movies, audiobooks etc.
I actually really like the case (even though it would appear that not everyone does. It's sturdy, fits well, and has a convenient magnetic cover which I've decided is really the best way to go! It doesn't stand up very well on smooth surfaces, but I can live with that.
There's nothing special or unique about the screen protectors (pretty standard stuff) but it's nice that you can order it all in a few click without having to go searching through endless suppliers for the cheapest one. I got mine on without any problems and with only 1 small bubble.
Overall, it's actually a really good deal and if you're not used to better tablets you should absolutely buy it! Especially if you're going to use it primarily to read, access Amazon (the website) and use other Amazon products and services (e.g., music, photos, instant video etc.). However, if you've already had a nice tablet probably skip this and try and more expensive/bigger version.
