I've seen all of these other reviews about not having all of the "smart" apps available. Here's my take. I wanted a simple bluray/DVD player to watch movies. I've got a smart TV, Chromecast, Firestick, etc. I don't need the player for all of that. I just simply want it to play a disc without digitizing and pausing to the point of a restart and maddening frustration. This one fits the bill. I just want to watch a disc movie. This one works for that seemingly simple task. My 12 year old Samsung had turned into an aggravating POS. This newer mode player just simply works for the task.
