This is the best product
I'm transferring this review from the one that is discontinued because it contained two tubes. Same product so here's my input that got 35 favorable ratings previously:
This may seem like something new if you read the reviews, but it's actually been around for a long time. I first used it years ago for a wart on my elbow that had been taken off multiple times by a doctor, but each time came back bigger. It was about the size of a dime when I finally resorted to self treatment, and had about two dozen warts grouped together. It was ugly and in a spot that got bumped hard often, so it bled and was very painful to me. I started putting this stuff all over the top and believe me, in that heavy dose, it hurt like crazy, but no worse than the times I'd bumped it. I re-applied the product twice a day for about a week... gritting my teeth.
The horrible wart slowly disappeared and I continued applying the product even when it was still a crater, because I wanted to make sure it never came back. It never did... and sure there's a scar there, but it's right on the wrinkled part of the elbow, so it doesn't show much.
Through the years I've had other small bb-sized warts and each time I used Compound W, it worked... usually with a single application. Always with no pain to speak of... maybe a little acid burn at first, but that's all.
But a few months ago I got a wart on my nose, right near my left eye where my glasses sit. The glasses irritated the wart and made it grow really fast.
WARNING: The leaflet clearly states Compound W is not for use on the face.
But I thought, even if there is a scar, this will be better than a nasty wart on my nose. I had been through enough doctor-removals to know how effective (not) and expensive that is... so I bought the double tube deal from Amazon. One drop right on the wart. The fumes hurt my eyes, but I let it dry and do its thing.
Now the wart is gone completely and no scar at all. I don't recommend you use it on your face, I'm sure the company has good reason to warn against it, probably because if you get it in your eye it would be disaster... but I'm a strong fan of this product and I do recommend it to take off the wart.
Compound W does work, and works quickly and in most cases without much pain. I still can't believe it did such a great job on the big elbow wart so many years ago. My compliments to this manufacturer.
