If you've never used oil pastels before, you should definitely try this set. This was the first set of oil pastels I've used because of my AP Drawing class (I'm a junior in high school) and I have to say, I was very impressed, especially after seeing the price. I thought I wouldn't like oil pastels because they're not as easy to blend as soft pastels but I've come to like the texture they make. The set has a nice range of colors and very vibrant. I attached the first drawing I've done using oil pastels (on the back of an illustration board) to show you the set's capabilities. Now, I know that this is nothing like Van Gogh's expressive self portraits but I just want to prove that beginners can do a decent job with this set. *By the way, this is my mom's account
