Let me start by saying...I do not bother to write reviews. I am a nurse practitioner and have been a nurse for nearly 35 years. I bought this for my, now, 87 year old mother. I purchased this because she sits, ALOT, and she started to develop sores on her buttocks. I tried various treatments I used in the past as a nurse, but the sores worsened. Well, after placing this pad on her chair, her sores healed without any other products on her skin! It is rather amazing. I told my friend about this and her mother-in-law was in the same situation. It healed her ulcerations also. I believe her daughter also wrote a review. It really is amazing! My mother has had this on her chair in the living room for nearly 2 years. I recommend this to anyone. It certainly prevents the shearing and tearing of the delicate, fragile skin of the elderly. Thanks so much!!!!
