Finally...A return to what works best. (I am a guy)
Return to what works! Perfect.
(I am an active 60+ y/o male. I don't care that these were advertised for women.)
1. I had soft ankle weights like this (brand unknown, though they were gray with orange trim). They were super and were easily more comfortable than my 'removable lead slug' style(that I had many years ago-> tough on the ankles when tight).
2. When they wore out and left bb's in my sneakers, I opted for soft with a 'nylon strap around the middle', still 'soft'. There are many of that style and they are all a FAIL according to me. The velcro strap is hard to thread through the metal loop while on your feet as the upper weight area flops over the strap. The soft weight upper half rolls over the mid strap during exercise, so just finding the end of the velcro strap after exercise is a horrible chore when you're beat. This common style has nothing to recommend it to me. Oh...and the strap needs to be tight to prevent weight 'flapping' in use, thus the strap hurts your ankles.
3. After MUCH searching I stumbled on these from STRONGER. Perfect, just like my old weights. One big tab to put on, one big tab to rip off to open, and the weight is evenly distributed longitudinally around your sneaker and your ankle. There is no identifiable single pressure point.
Finally..Great Product. Superior in all ways.
Reliability: TBD. I only have them one seek. If the velcro is not aggressive enough for long term use, I will report.
