I have the model FM 2000-000 and couldn't be happier with it. I have friends who have upgraded to the more expensive and high-end food saver line and they have gone back to using their original ones. Although they don't have the bag roll holder or the bag cutter it allows you to seal uniquely shaped bags and waste less of the roll. Don't waste your money on the more expensive units all they do is make you waste 5 or 6 inches of your bags and cost you hundreds of dollars more. I feel like the food saver brand might be following the same path as other big leading brands of other products and starting off with a amazing and Long lasting baseline product, but then (to increase profits) expand and add to their already efficient products with stupid little gimmicks and unnecessary features. The higher end line of the food saver products seems to be a pain to have the vacuum sealer align properly and wastes inches off the roll. I have provided a picture of my set up and it works way better than the higher priced units.
