This chair seems pretty sturdy. It’s also very soft, and the cushion is nice and thick. It took maybe 5 minutes to put together, and has no problem holding everyone in the family. (Not all at once. LOL). It’s not meant to provide support for your back, so if you’re in need of a supportive chair, don’t buy it. But if you don’t care about that, it seems pretty great for a bedroom or home office.. You can’t beat the color choices. ______ **EDITED TO ADD: I've since purchased another of these chairs, in the beautiful light green color called "Dark Atrovirens". It's SO nice. It feels a bit smaller than the cream/grey color I purchased, and my husband (who has back issues) says that it does actually support his back. The fabric is absolutely lush. It doesn't take very long to put together. ____ *Edited to add that the crossbar does attach. I just think the instructions are not crystal clear about how. It gives the seat extra support, and will just take you a few extra minutes to figure out. I recommend adding it on. (It goes front to back, not side to side). (My 2nd chair purchase seemed to have much better instructions).
