I spent a lot of time researching these and many others before I decided to purchase this particular gate. Pay no attention to reviews stating gate has design flaws. They are inaccurate. Gate is designed VERY well. Pros: Easy to assemble. Well made. Closes or locks. Easy to close / easy to lock / easy to open (even with one hand). Comes with extension (no extra charge). Comes with mounting hardware to keep gate from sliding out of doorframe. Easily adjusts to fit just about any doorframe. Heavy, sturdy metal that should provide years of trouble free use. No rough edges. Good paint. Quiet operation. Cons: None that I’ve found. I purchased a grand total of 6 of these and plan to purchase two more to keep my herd of Pomeranians from wandering into rooms where they think they belong but really have no business being in. Out of 6 of these gates you’d think I would have received a broken one, defective one, or possibly even one missing parts but no, all were 100% perfect. My only concern is my smallest Pom “Sugar” can stick her tiny head through the bars so my slightly “tubby” Pom “Cookie” attempts to shove her big head through and I’m afraid she might get stuck but so far that has not happened. This is NOT a design flaw. The gates are excellent quality and were I the manufacturer I wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommended!
