I think this is an excellent back brace. I occasionally get lower back muscle pain. You'd think being in the muscle, you could get on top of the pain... but sometimes it is so painful I cannot even tense to make a move. The way this is made, there is a little triangular piece (pillow) right where the lower back pain is located. When wrapped tightly, it presses in just the right place to really help with the pain. My singular complaint is that I could not buy a smaller size. I felt it was a little difficult, while dealing with back pain to contort myself to make extreme wraps in order to get it tight enough. But, still the best back brace I've bought to date.
