I am 5'10" and 153 lbs and wear a size 8. I purchased a large. I also got one of the packs that contain cotton panties so I can't speak for the ones made of other materials. I feel like they run true to size. I probably could have gone with a medium but I really hate it when underwear is tight. I got them solely to wear with flowy dresses. I'm pretty fit but I've had two kids and have a slight under belly button pooch. I was looking for underwear that would be cool in the summer heat but still make me feel less naked under a dress. These underwear do not hold my belly in per se, but they do make it feel supported. They don't ride up and sit at my natural waist. I have not washed them, but if they shrink significantly, I'll update my review.
