My son is crazy about music. He plays trombone in band, and has four pianos/keyboards that he plays constantly. He also has a glockenspiel (xylophone) that he loves. He recently added this treasure to his musical bounty with his birthday money. It has definitely added a new sound to the noise that emanates from his room. It's basically a mini-keyboard that's powered by air you blow into it. It reminds me of an accordion mixed with a harmonica. It's fun, and high-pitched. As far as the quality goes, it was on the cheaper end, and we were expecting it to be more of a toy than an instrument. However, it is very sturdy and plays well. It came with a case to protect it, which is great for him, since his room is a giant mess! It's not hard to blow into, although the mouthpiece could be a little more comfortable and easy to hold in your mouth. Overall, it's a great addition to an instrument collection. It's also great for someone who is just beginning to play keyboard, and wants a unique way to practice.
