Interesting fragrance.... I honestly like it.. The reviews had me wondering what in the world to expect because they were all over the place.. Here is what I found, you open the bottle and right off, it smells quite similar to watered down Scope mouthwash. But when you put it into your hand apply it to your body, it takes on a surprisingly different smell all together, much like a potpourri with a blast of Cinnamon and clove, orange and a very faint coke-cola smell (camphor?)... some folks say it smells like 4711... heres my take: This stuff is not even in the same solar system as 4711, so lets get that cleared up... To be sure, Florida Water smells ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like 4711... it's two totally different fragrances. Florida Water has strong notes of cinnamon, clove, orange and light lemon faint camphor.... if you have ever used Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum and liked it, you would be quite comfortable with this fragrance... this would almost certainly qualify as a very light or subtle Bay Rum... It is not over powering and tends to dissipate as the day goes by.... the smell is pleasant, goes on nicely after a shave, burns a tad bit, then cools off and smells clean... the notes of it are almost in this order... Cinnamon, Clove, Orange, coke-cola, lemon... Quite tolerable...! Although, my wife says the smell reminds her of Caladryl... I hope this helps in your decision making.
