I have not used a pin pointer before, so I don't know how this compares to the ones that sell for over one hundred bucks, but this works fine for me and really helps find the treasure. It is a bit difficult to see the LED on light, but a quick pass near anything metal and you know it is on. Beeps within and inch or two of the coin targets, so very happy with it.
