Oh how I love the concept of an expanding hose, and continue to get suckered into buying them only to have them explode or have the fitting come off within a year or so. I am hoping this one will be different. It definitely has a different feel to it than the previous ones...the hose actually feels a little more durable and the fitting and valve son’t feel like tinny pot-metal painted a brass color so I have higher hopes for this one. I will definitely update in a few months. It shrinks up soooo small!!! I store it in a 8” plastic plant pot. It’s lightweight so would be super easy to maneuver/handle for someone who doesn’t have a lot of upper body strength. I would definitely buy this for my Mom. And it’s just as easy to handle when it’s gorged full of water. TIPS - ~~ follow the directions! You will be disappointed if you do not follow the directions. The hose will not expand fully if you don’t follow the directions. Did I mention, follow the directions! ~~ I have found it easier to control the amount of water coming out of my spray nozzle i attached to the hose by opening/closing the brass fitting some and not by adjusting the waterflow at the spigot on the wall. ~~store it out of direct sun. It’s black, it’ll absorb a lot of rays and I suspect deteriorate pretty quick Happy Gardening!
