Pure Genius!
I already own the Ninja Foodie so I was anxious to try this new model. The first thing that drew my attention was the ability to flip this oven out of the way when I'm not using it. Hubby and I have downsized so counterspace isn't what it used to be and I'm finding it difficult to adjust. This model is perfect for us. I thought it had to be attached to the wall in order to flip it up but it doesn't. I can place this anywhere on my counter or prep tables and simply flip it out of the way when I'm not using it. Pure genius! The first dinner I made was air fried chicken thighs. I was able to fit 10 large thighs in the fryer basket. A lot more than in my Foodie. I chose to make air fried thighs because I make them a lot in my Ninja Foodie and wanted to be able to compare. I seasoned them with a great chicken rub, placed them skin side down in the air fryer basket, placed the sear pan on the lower rack and air fried the thighs for about 15 minutes, flipped them over and air fried for about 10 or more minutes until crispy and temp safe inside. Delicious! The air fried thighs were every bit as great as the ones I've been making in my Foodie but I can make a LOT more at a time. That's a big plus for me. The next dinner I tried was frozen toasted ravioli (it's a St. Louis thing, yum) and frozen French fries. I put the French fries in the fryer basket in the top rack and the ravioli in the sear pan in the center rack. Dinner was done in less than 15 minutes. And lots of it. LOL Did I mention this oven heats up in 1 minute? Yep, 400 degrees in 1 minute! I've also made toast for breakfast, setting 4 is perfect for us. I can fit 9 pieces of bread at a time. Perfect for when I have a crowd or I can make a couple pieces just for the two of us. And I made French fries again for chili cheese fries. I know, but it's canning season and I'm tired by dinner. LOL I took a photo of tonight's dinner, a sheet pan recipe. I tossed some kielbasa, potatoes, onions, frozen green beans and bell peppers in olive oil and seasonings and air baked them on the sear pan. So perfectly carmelized and tasty!!! This is by far my favorite Ninja appliance. It's great looking, super easy to clean, stores out of the way, cooks like a champ and has the capacity I need when I need to cook a lot of food. Especially when I need to cook a lot of food all at once. Three trays makes it possible to cook 3 different foods at the same time. Perfect for busy evenings or when guests are here. Honestly, I am using this Ninja more than my gas range and oven. I still love my Ninja Foodie model for rice, pasta, pressure cooking, etc but this new model is a total workhorse in my kitchen. I'd give a lot more than 5 stars if I could. We absolutely love this model. I hope this helps you.
