My carpet was starting to show signs of its 7 years of age so I decided to get a Bissell Pro carpet cleaner. I vacuumed with my normal vacuum and then while cleaning the carpets I noticed the Bissell picking up dog hair into wet clumps. This was AFTER I vacuumed! After the Bissell pro carpet cleaner did its job my carpets looked and smelled fresh again. But since I lost faith in my current vacuum I bought a Dyson Ball Allergy. Just for fun, I ran it back over the same areas that had been vacuumed with my previous vac AND the Bissell pro carpet cleaner. What the Dyson was able to pick up after that both shocked and disgusted me. (See pic) But I now see why there are so many positive reviews about Dysons. They excel at removing dirt from carpet.
