When my husband and I were looking for a quality alternative to beadboard I stumbled across this vinyl “wallpaper” and probably read every.single. review. And let me just say..we couldn’t be happier with the outcome! We are very experienced DIY’ers but we found ourselves lacking time (and energy) to take on a major upgrade on our guest bath after just renovating a master bath. What a great choice to give this product a try! We are now preparing to head down to our fixer-upper in sunny Florida and you can guarantee this gem of a product is coming with us! Some handy tips.. . Measure and cut while dry, such as outlets and other obstacles because it does NOT trim nicely when wet! . Fill the bottom of your tub to wet the paper..it literally just needs to get wet (no soaking) let excess drip off and then hang it! . No need for extra glue..there’s plenty of pre-paste on the paper. . Use a clean, dry towel to push out any air bubbles. No tools as you may rip it! . Any air trapped will be gone by the time it drys overnight. . 2 coats of a quality paint (I used Sherwin-Williams) and you will get good coverage and the protection the vinyl needs. Only thing you need to be careful with is it has a tendency to dent because it’s sort of spongy like styrofoam. Probably not recommend for high kid traffic area! Hope this helps!
