Stanley/Thermos/Hydroflask - Stanley WINS!
Based on the last review, I purchased the Thermos thinking it was the best. It actually was NOT and let me clarify. One of the reviews stated that the Thermos and SMALLER 14oz Stanley which clearly stated the heat retention better on the larger Thermos, they are correct but they are not comparing apples to apples. Thermos is better for when compared to the smallest Stanley but the heat retention is different depending on the Stanley container size: 12oz is rated at 8 hours, 18oz is rated at 12 hours, and 24oz is rated at 1t hours. Since the reviewer did not compare it correctly, this is why the tempt variations concluded that the Thermos was the best. My comparison is from 1 year of use. I am comparing the Hydroflask/Thermos with the 24oz capacity with the Stanley 18oz capacity (which is technically rated LOWER than the hydroflask/Thermos 24oz claims). I’ve used the Hydroflask, Thermos, & Stanley now for 1 year and noticed all my kids were fighting over the Stanley. The kids were telling me that their food 5 hours AFTER I pack it (I do prime the Comtainers for 10mins before putting in the food), that the Stanley was still steaming hot (borders on unable to eat), the Thermos is still on the hotter side of warm, but the dydroflask was luke warm. To conclude, get the Stanley, I'm ordering more today because the Hydroflask is just too horrible. I bought my Hydroflask from REI (3 of them) and now I’m tossing them out. I'm all Stanley now. They are tested and true, they've specialized in this for years and I now know why. I was a large Thermos fan but now, I'm going back to what I started with as a kid using = STANLEY it is!
