As always, I read all the reviews for products that I buy on Amazon. I have learned, that you should look at both the positive and negative to gather all the facts. So with that said, I knew that the assembly instructions weren't the best, but I was looking for value & quality. So, I did buy two of them. One for me and one for my son's home office. I put mine together first, so I suffered all the same frustrations like many of the other customers. There was one particular section, I had the most trouble with, so I left it until I completed my son's desk. It took more time for me to out together mine, so that was an advantage the second time around. The major thing I learned was to separate all the pieces and label all the screws first. They are wrapped in plastic, but unlabeled. Keep everything separate, so you don't get things mixed up. Screws "A" and "E" look very similar, so be careful. The "A" screws is longer than the "E" screws. Most of the others are easy to tell apart. Never put an "A" screw through the top of the desk. They are too long and will start to poke through. Lay everything out as shown on the diagrams without attaching. Double check the configuration to make sure you lay it out with either the long or short tops the way you want them to fit in the room space. The hardest part for me was the shelves at the end., but luckily you can save that for last and even flip the table upright before you put that part together. Once I figured out how to attach it on my son's desk, it was easy like everything does once you know how. Patience is a virtue and if you take your time and read the instructions and my notes, you should be fine. I would buy another one too!
