The Shark Rocket is the lightest cordless stick vac I have ever owned, and I am genuinely impressed by the self-cleaning brush roll. I have very long hair and included a pic of how much hair accumulated in my other vacuum cleaner after one use. After a week, there's usually enough to make a wig. I cleaned out all the hair and vacuumed it up with my new Shark Rocket. The video demonstrates just how well the self-cleaning brush roller worked. The Shark Rocket doesn't have a single hair stuck to it. That's amazing! I have to vacuum once or twice a day. It's not that I am a neat freak, believe me, I am NOT, but when you have messy kids, pets or both, it can become unliveable if you don't, and I could not live without the convenience of a cordless vac for everyday cleanups. I charged the battery to full capacity before using it, and after 20 minutes of continuous use (800 sq. ft.), I still have 2 bars left. That's very respectable for a small battery. It took more than a single pass to vacuum up larger chunks of pet food, but it did not ricochet them across the floor, and not having to clean the rollers is well worth it. The only real cons I can think of would be the design of the dust cup. When I removed the dust bin to empty it, the filter assembly came out along with it, and for that reason, it lost one star. The Shark Rocket is lightweight and powerful. The self-cleaning brush did an excellent job of picking up pet hair, bird dust, and human hair.
