I have a boxer (short hair, sheds a lot). I vacuumed my nylon plush, textured, wall-to-wall carpeted hallway (which the dog accesses many times per day) first with a Dyson DC41 upright, then vacuumed the same hallway with the Shark IONFlex on the High Carpet, Max Power setting. The IONFlex filled its dirt cup even after vacuuming with the Dyson. This is the first cordless vacuum that pulls up dirt from plush carpet as well as a corded vacuum. The dirt cup capacity is very small, so you have to empty the dirt cup quite often, but this isn't a big chore. This great product is now my primary vacuum. The battery life is good, even on the High-Carpet/Max-Power setting. I can vacuum my entire 3 bedroom, family room, living room ranch house on a single charge with power to spare...
