I had Cervical Fusion Surgery on my C5-6 disc. I have to wear a hard brace for 2 weeks full time and then sleep in it for up to 6 weeks after that. I really wanted a pillow that was supportive but not too tall to push my neck forward too much in recovery. I bought 2 from Amazon to try, this one and the Osteo Cervical Pillow. First of all, BOTH were great. The Elviros Cervical Pillow was firm and tall which is exactly what I wanted. It's very form fitting and supportive. I'm usually a side sleeper, but after surgery have to sleep on my back and this is finally the right pillow to help me do that comfortably with less pain in the morning. This one is DEFINITELY the better choice without a brace. The Osteo had more comfort while in the actual neck brace. It had room for my brace without being too tall or too firm. If you have to wear a neck brace, that one is PERFECT for you. But without the brace it felt too slim and not form fitting enough to give actual support.
