You are probably scrolling through the reviews looking at the countless BS ones from bot or paid reviewers. I'm not one of those. I got this cause I have a crazy 8 month old goldendoodle who is jumping on me and stealing food in the kitchen. The device is very simple. Pair the remote to the collar. You can either beep, buzz, or zap and buzz. Each has levels 1 to 10 on intensity which I appreciate. Instantly the dog stopped barking when I used it. The important thing is to pair it with a command "no barking" and use the zap. Inside I said, "leave it" with the device for jumping on counters. She isn't 100% cured yet, but what an amazing difference in 24 hours. I think what is tough with positive treat training is that the dog always wants a treat and then thinks its a reward for the bad behavior. With this remote I can actually sit in my house and if I hear barking give it a press. I can also sit and listen if she jumps on the counter in the kitchen. The dog knows instantly that the action they did gave them an undesired result with the buzz and noisy sound. The buzz is 100% humane. No electric zap that hurts. It's basically like a cell phone vibration with different levels if the dog can't feel it or ignores it. I even took it outside and helped reinforce the drop it command with frisbee retrieving. She wouldn't drop it despite knowing the command so I did the audible noise (not buzz) with drop command, she dropped it, then I gave her a "yes!". After only a few volleys she understood and I didn't need the remote. Naysayers will say, oh mate why not just use treats! I have done 3 rounds of training with my dog and spend a ton of time with her. She is simply getting stubborn. This tool is just so helpful to regain her attention for vital training moments. The product also has a long rechargeable battery life.
