As many others have mentioned, I was very excited about reading this book and was utterly disappointed. I first saw it featured on Reese's book club and bought it because the plot was right up my alley and I usually love the books Reese recommends. Unfortunately, the characters lacked depth and were unlikable making it hard to connect and finish the novel. It felt like there was something missing in the reveal with the motive not fitting the level of crime.
