Pretty Much Worthless! >>> Please read my positive UPDATE as of Sept. 19, 2016
UPDATE - September 19, 2016 >>>
A week or so ago a Thermacell representative contacted me regarding my very unpleasant experience with the Thermacell Heated Insoles. It has been almost 4 years since my review but I was mailed a new pair of insoles, which I received today. I promptly unpacked and charged the insoles. Once fully charged I tested them on the high setting --- AND THEY WORK the way I EXPECTED my original pair to work. Within a couple minutes my infrared thermometer was reading up to 115 degrees over most of the area from the arch to the toes. The previous pair had a warm reading on a very tiny pinpoint spot and that was all! Even though the directions suggest that you won't be able to feel much heat outside the boot or in warm weather, the insole gets warm to the touch. I'm looking forward to cold weather and hunting season and having warm feet without the bulk of chemical warmers!
I will do another update after cold weather arrives but in the South that will be some time yet.
Note: The Thermacell rep did NOT ask me to write a new review or to even update this one, nor am I compensated otherwise, but I offered that I would do so - good or bad. I'm pleased that I am able to write a positive change!

My original review >>>
I looked forward for the last year to getting a pair of these and finally did. I charged them and put them in my boots, wearing the type socks that Thermacell recommends. My first day out, the temp only went down to 31 degrees F. I couldn't even tell they were there when they were on the high setting. I talked with a rep a Thermacell who stated that as long as they were coming on, which they are, that they are working correctly. Thermacell has a video, which the guy I talked with said was his, that shows the temp getting to 110 degrees F. When asked about that, he told me that the sensor that shows to be just dropped down in the boot was actually directly on the TINY warm spot on the insole. I wanted to try another set but he was disinterested in that and did not mind one bit that I would be asking for a refund. Terrible, terrible customer service.
Save your money. If you're going to have cold feet anyway, you might as well do it with an extra $120 in your wallet.
