I purchased this iron to replace a Shark iron that was having electrical issues. I was excited about the cordless option thinking I would like the freedom.. This iron is very small in my opinion and the shape is weird. It reminds me of a small football. I like being able to set the iron down to move around the item I am ironing. The base takes up quite a bit of space so I put it on the floor. The fact that I have to keep putting the iron back in the base is very frustrating. My preference would be a cordless iron shaped like a regular iron and one that I don't have to return to a base as I iron. Not sure if this exists but I will be returning this one and going to buy one. I was going to buy a replacement one from Amazon but since there is a charge to return this iron I will not be buying my next iron from Amazon and will have to look carefully for return details in the future. My mistake! If I had bought this iron in a store and did not like it I would have gotten the full refund and not have to pay shipping to return it. An iron requires personal taste to be involved and I think it requires hands on to see if it is something that you will like or not.
