NEED BLUETOOTH — BUYER BEWARE.
IF YOU WANT BLUETOOTH, DO NOT BUY. So Garmin finally gave in from their proprietary ANT+ And added Bluetooth. Yay. Welcome to 2020. Too bad though because they screwed the pooch on this one. The sensors will connect to an iPhone but wont register on any app like MapMyRide, Wahoo, or Strava or even their own Garmin connect. I just got off the phone with a tech and he said “yeah we have Bluetooth but not really for third party apps.” I said “the only reason someone would want Bluetooth Bluetooth is to connect to a phone and use an app” (hence which is why they resisted Bluetooth for so long since phones would surely cannibalizes their lucrative hardware business.) and he said “yeah. You should probably return it if you want to use it on your phone with other apps”. Haha that’s what I’m gonna do. GARMIN PLEASE FEEL FREE TO RESPOND HERE WITH A BETTER SOLUTION THAN JUST GIVING UP. AND YOU ALL SHOULD REALLY HAVE AN APP WITH RECORDING WORKOUT CAPABILITY IN REAL-TIME AND NOT JUST FROM YOUR PRECIOUS DEVICES.
