★★☆☆☆
Not the best of its kind
What can I say. I bought one of these and its not as great as it sounds.
I got one of these and one of the Dupli-Color High Performance Vinyl & Fabric Spray - Flat Black (the Simply Spray one was black too).
According to the Simply Spray website, the paint is great for car seats. I did my passenger seat in the Simply Spray stuff and the driver's seat in the dupli-color stuff.
Simply Spray:
-Easier to clean off of stuff you get over spray on
-Difficult to get a consistent spray
-It must soak into the seats, you use a lot more because of this
-You have to rub it into the seat getting a mess of it on your hands and arms
-The spay top is like a can of compressed air
-It causes drips a lot, but is not a problem because your spaying it on fabric, so it will soak up
-Takes 72 hours to dry (now you know why I used it on the passenger's seat)
-$11.99 per 8oz can
Dupli-Color:
-Much easier to spray
-Keeps a consistent layer
-You do not use as much paint
-You need to shake the can for more than a minute to ensure it gets a proper color
-Smells bad (like spray paint)
-Takes 24 hours to dry
-$7.99 per 11oz can
Be warned, if you live in a cold climate, these require the temperature to be at least 70 degrees (F). If you live in a hot climate, they should not be used in temperatures above 90 degrees (F).
