Beware of this speaker!! Do not purchase!! I am a loyal Amazon Customer and there is one very major issue with this speaker which did come up several times in the reviews I have seen. So let me add another comment about the small USB plug in charger DISLODGING!!! Sad to say I am now on my second speaker in three months and this is what happened to both. Each time with both speakers I after plugging in the charger say around a half dozen times it starts to loosen. On the first, once it started to "push in", I treated it like gold and tried my best to be careful and suddenly it just fell into the speaker housing. Yikes!! Gone. Amazon replaced it since I only had it for about 4-5 weeks. Well today after about six charges and 5 weeks later the USB plug in has broken loose and is about to break off and fall into the speaker. AGAIN! Why do I not see more comments about this on the net. Do they only rate it on sound for a few days. The engineers really need to take a second look at this. I saw someone posted something about a third generation USB plug in charger, anyone know about this or can help that would be great. Too bad it is a kick-butt speaker as long as you do not try to charge it. Update, now the third speaker I bought has also had the same problem with charging and the faulty port, no kidding. Yes I am a sucker and this is the third one to break, three strikes your out Altec. DO NOT BUY THIS, I am now seeing others edit their postings after about two months of use and they are having the same issues.
