Used many times in a camping trailer, this is probably one of the better items I've ever bought. Wife and kids are happy, it's easily portable, empties well, and has survived being moved about a hundred times now. Well worth the money. ___________________________________ EDITED REVIEW - Above was my original review, and up until this past week I was quite happy with this toilet. Then I found out its Achilles Heel, which is the flush mechanism. As other reviews will attest - the toilet works great right up until it breaks! Then after that you get stuck in a special circle of customer service hell because the Thetford company doesn't appear to sell a replacement for the flushing mechanism at a reasonable price, instead they charge almost as much as the entire toilet! I was beginning to despair when I came across another review with the following information: ___________________________________ Did you try to buy a manual pump from an overseas seller? They sell this toilet in the European market under the name porta potti excellence. There (EU) its available as an electric pump or manual pump model. Google the part numbers with the word pump and see what comes up. Piston pump: 92401111 (Signal white) 9240166 (Light ivory) 92401130 (Ruby red) Electric pump: 92402135 (Light grey granite) 9240207 (Traffic grey) ___________________________________ I found a 92401111 available from a British seller (thanks Google!) and sure enough it fit perfect and did the trick. I'm giving this product one star not because of the quality of the product (it's actually made very well), but because not only is the battery-powered flushing mechanism highly unreliable and short-lived, but also because the Thetford company REALLY dropped the ball in standing behind their faulty product.
