UPDATE From previous review below: I'm now downgrading my review from 2 stars to 1. Why? Well, I was reached out to from Ring about my problems and they were initially very helpful. Even replaced my "Battery operated" camera for a "Wired one" saying it would give me better reliability. Well after only 3 weeks, the microphone stoped working so I couldn't communicate with visitors at my door - only see them. So I once again reached out to Ring, only this time they kept going round and round with me for a month asking silly questions about my wifi, wifi extender, what's my pnone, have you tried on you computer, on and on and on. They simply wouldn't accept that their camera's microphone was busted on this 3 week old device. So I just gave up and told them never mind. It was infuriating. So, for my initial $199 purchace, Ive simply got a camera that does nothing else. Big deal! It's 2019. Terrible service! Ok, I've waited almost two months before writing a review on this camera. I wanted SOOOO Much to like it, but I'm afraid I can't. I've adjusted locations several times, played with ALL the range, sensitivity and quadrant options. I even bought a wifi extender to make sure the camera had enough "juice". Well, after months of "false notifications, spotty alerts, etc. I cannot recommend this product. Perhaps my BIGGEST problem with it is the lag in notifying me when there really IS someone coming up our driveway. By the time I get a "alert" on my phone, the person has already driven up, gotten out of their car AND is already at my front door - from the motion of their car driving up about 20 seconds earlier! Someone could easily steal a package from my front door and be off before I even get an alert. So sorry Amazon, you bought a company that could be a lot better in my opinion.
