I rarely write reviews, but unsuspecting consumers deserve to be warned about this product. I purchased TWO of these coolers and they both have had major issues. After spending a week and $500 retrofitting my vehicle for this cooler, I discovered that the AC compressors that this company uses are horrible. The first and second coolers both had compressors that had popping and grinding noises when starting. The coolers would try to start up, fail, try again, fail, then start with popping and grinding noises, and after 3 - 4 weeks throw out red malfunction lights and not start. In addition, the plastic siding on one of the coolers was not adhered properly, leading to a wavy look and partial delamination. For a product that is over $1000, let alone $50, this is absolutely unacceptable and I would advise looking elsewhere. I looked up the Dometic company and found out they changed their logo and company name not long ago. There are claims by other customers that they source components now from China. This is indicative of a greedy company cutting corners at the expense of trusting, good paying customers. Let my loss and experience set the record straight for prospective customers.
