The packaging is very misleading. By placing a 24+ on the front, Manuka Doctor wants us to believe it's UMF 24+, which would make it a highly therapeutic and powerful honey. In reality, the 24+ on the label doesn't mean much. By digging a bit deeper, I found out this honey isn't that great. First I entered the URL (...) that's located on the side of the bottle to verify the honey's origin, only to discover the page doesn't exist. I emailed customer service and asked for paperwork showing Manuka Doctor's authenticity because of that small detail and because I also noticed the ingredient list showed 100% New Zealand honey, it doesn't specify Manuka honey. The document I received back from customer service showed that after testing, the Manuka Doctor 24+ honey only has a UMF rating of 7! That's so low it almost has no anti-viral, anti-bacterial, or anti-fungal effects: it's pretty much useless. The final straw was when I visited their website. It seems as if their main focus is on skin care products for women, as those products dominate their home page. I clicked out once I saw a Kardashian's face staring back at me. I would follow the advice of other reviewers and go buy another brand. I just returned mine today.
