The exhaust hose is too bulky. The instructions warn not to have hard angles in the tube, so it can't be put against the wall, it has to be in the middle of the room or the hose will heat up. If you try to move the unit at all, the exhaust pipe will pop right off the window fixture. The window fixture has huge gaps in it allowing light and air from outside into the room. The hose is so opaque it allows all the light into the room from the street and it glows brightly creating a night light effect, and sunlight will wake you up in the morning. The unit is so noisy that when put on it's lowest temperature it cycles loudly every 5 minutes and caused a sleepless night. The thermostat on the unit can only go down to 64 degrees, which does not cool the room substantially. The plastic on the unit picks up a massive amount of dust. It seems to carry a static charge so it picks up everything. I've had other portable air conditioner units that have not been this problematic. If you must have a portable unit, I advise you to look elsewhere. I am returning this one and do same myself.
