When this company first came up with this product early last year and had only a couple of reviews, these blankets were of excellent quality. Fleece was lush and soft on both sides that when you ran your hand back and forth over it, you could see how dense it was. The waterproof barrier inside did not rustle and was not stiff; fleece remained soft and blanket overall remained new-looking even after countless washings and drying on low. Photos uploaded by another customer with a kitty lying down shows how these blankets USED to be. However, as soon as these blankets became popular on Amazon, their quality significantly declined. First, color changed from beautiful CHOCOLATE/KHAKI to CHOCOLATE/CAPPUCINO. Shortly after that. fleece went from dense lush, soft to thin (you now see lines throughout the fleece), sparse (you can now see the clear plastic inside of the blanket if you somewhat fold the blanket and hold it to the light at a certain angle) and stiff all while price remaining the same. Having assumed the quality was the same, I had purchased more of these blankets to give away as Christmas gifts this year only to return all of them for a refund. One of the blankets rustled like a plastic bag right out of package. I would be back to buy more ONLY IF they go back to the original quality.
