and it looks fantastic. It's also quite comfortable to use
Was very excited to receive the controller, and it looks fantastic. It's also quite comfortable to use, even if the button arrangement and whatnot require a little getting used to compared to the JoyCons. It doesn't have any rumble function, but for the price I didn't expect it. I loved it until a few days ago...
It has developed an issue where I can no longer recommend the controller. I ordered it from Amazon on 10/26/2017, and received it a few days later. It has already developed upward drift on the left analog stick... meaning that if you're playing Super Mario Odyssey, for example, it slowly makes Mario creep forward even if you don't have the controller in your hands. It also makes selecting items on screen a pain, as the cursor wants to drift upwards.
Now, I've been gaming a long time, and I've worn out my share of PlayStation and Xbox controllers. I understand that they go through a lot of abuse when they're used extensively... But it usually takes at least a year or a year and a half for them to develop this same problem under heavy use. I understand that this is a cheap, 3rd party wired controller, not an OEM product. But really? Less than two months? That's ridiculous, especially considering that I haven't been using exclusively this controller for my Switch. I've also been using the JoyCons.
This controller is comfortable and does look really awesome... However I didn't buy it to look at. I bought it to game with. And if it doesn't function correctly as a controller, then it is useless.
