I was very happy with the look and feel of these rugs (made in India) but when I put it in the washing machine (following care instructions, of course) so many threads came out that they plugged up the outlet hose. We were able to pull out many fistfuls of large cotton yarn manually, but in the end still had to call a plumber. So the rug really cost me $119. Ironically the rug still looks good- you can't even see where the yarn came from! Now i have to figure out how to wash it, since I won't put it back in the machine. I guess I'll take it down to the stream and beat it with rocks.
