Terrific Movie— But Why No Blu-Ray?
Not a review for the fim, which is highly recommended, but for the presentation. It's stunning that Fox is dumping this remarkable film onto home video on DVD only, without a Blu-Ray release. The film is 98% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and garnered three Academy Awards (Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay) and it's getting treated worse than one of the myriad sequels to the John Cena movie THE MARINE. It's crazy— and an insult to viewers on par with Fox Home Video releasing initial blu-ray sets of a TV series (FARGO, LEGION, THE STRAIN) and then issuing subsequent sets on DVD only. This is appalling. This film and the talents involved deserve better— as do we.
